PLAYMAKING is a hands-on program that engages students ages 9 – 11 in the fundamentals of playwriting over the course of 10 weeks, and culminates in a public performance of the student-written work by professional actors. An experiment in equitable and collaborative storytelling, PLAYMAKING teaches important life skills in tandem with writing skills, and offers young students a way to expand their imaginations.

FIRST CLASS: THE INAUGURAL PLAYS Volume 2:

The Playwrights: Ethan Neal, Natalia Rosales, Sayer Uribe, Alice Weiss, Margaret Weiss & Diana Zayas.

 

The Actors: Eduardo Fernandez-Baumann, Lauren Blumenfeld, Chae Chaput, Kate Chindlund, Ben Crutcher, Cole Cuomo, Dylan Dawson, Alisa De Los Santos, Evan Enderle, Andrew Erath, Holley Fain, Cecilia Fairchild, Delanie Fischer, Corey Johnson, Andrea Limon, Vella Lovell, Frank Martinelli, Jake Minton, Pia Shah, Caitlin Stegemoller, Armando Torres.

The Directors: Burton Chaikin, Judy Chaikin, Sarah Cho, Alejandra Cisneros, Patricia Garza, Anton Handel, Luke Kanter, Jonathan Muñoz-Proulx, Maria Pasquarelli, Nathan Singh and Pia Shah.

Each Volume Runs roughly 70 minutes and is performed without an intermission.

Directions & Parking

For all performances, enter campus at Entrance 6 at the corner of Vermont and 36th Place. Please inform the gate attendant you are attending a School of Dramatic Arts event to receive a reduced rate of $10 (except on USC Event Days). Closest parking is located in Parking Structure A.
