Dear LAMusArt Families,
Thank you for your patience and resiliency as we continually adapt to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and related restrictions. These are challenging times and the spirit of cooperation and team-work is deeply appreciated.
With summer programs and lessons underway, we’ve turned our attention to planning for the fall. As mentioned in previous communications, our staff and board have been carefully developing plans and protocols for a phased re-opening of the campus. In addition to monitoring evolving city, county, and state guidelines, we are consulting directly with the LA County Public Health Department. In light of this, and after careful consideration, we have determined that lessons will continue in online formats only and the campus will remain closed to students until the Public Health Department advises us that it is safe to reopen.
This was an extremely difficult call to make, but the health and safety of our students, faculty, staff, and community continue to guide our decision making. We look forward to sharing our reopening plans when it is determined that it is safe to reopen.
With our dedicated and extraordinary faculty, LAMusArt continues to offer the highest level of music, art, dance and drama instruction. We will be sharing guidelines and recommendations for optimizing the learning experience at home and information on our first-ever virtual performance season featuring our talented teaching artists to debut this late summer. More details to follow.
Again, we greatly appreciate your patience, resolve, and good will during this challenging time. We look forward to a great new school year and of course can’t wait for the day we all return to the campus and make music together again.
