Drama Teaching Artist and Production Director
Luke Kanter is an LA-based playwright and teaching artist who has worked with some of LA’s top arts organizations including Center Theatre Group, LAMusArt, LA Phil & the Hollywood Bowl, The Blank Theatre Company and 24th Street Theatre. He is a proud graduate of the University of Southern California School of the Dramatic Arts.
Dance Teaching Artist and Production Choreographer
Christina O’Brien is a dancer and teacher from Washington, D.C. She earned a B.A. in Dance on a full Creative and Performing Arts scholarship, as well as a B.S. in Biological Sciences with a concentration in neurobiology and physiology. As a teacher, she emphasizes the development of mind-body connections and creative expression to foster students’ interdisciplinary success socially, academically, and creatively. She is pursuing her Masters of Arts in Secondary Education at Loyola Marymount University.
Music Teaching Artist and Production Music Director
Austin Chanu began his music education in his hometown of Concord, CA. Since graduating with his B.M. in Music Composition at USC, Austin has conducted worked as a teaching artist for the LA Phil Composer Fellowship Program. Throughout LA, he conducts and composes, while teaching music and performing in musical theatre orchestras. He has been a very important part of the LAMusArt team and will pursue a Master’s degree in orchestral conducting.
Visual Arts Teaching Artist and Properties Designer
Billie Rae Vinson is a museum education professional and arts educator. She developed expertise that reflects her passion for art, artists, and creative learning strategies. Before moving to LA, Billie Rae Vinson was the Senior Coordinator of Family Programs at the Whitney Museum of American Art, where she designed and produced programs for thousands of families. She is an established program manager with an MA in Critical Writing and Curatorial Practice and a B.A. in Fine Art.
