Diana Ortiz
Diana Ortiz is a multi-disciplinary artist with a focus on visual story-telling in animation. While she has resided in counties all over Southern California, her furthest roots stretch as far as Guerrero, Mexico, where she was born. Diana believes in the importance of drawing inspiration from our lives to fuel our art, as there is always a subject to be honored, if we take the time to truly witness it.
Diana earned her Bachelor's of Fine Arts degree in Animation/Pre-Production from the California State University of Long Beach. While she studied there, she contributed to several student film productions, serving as a visual development artist and clean-up animator. With her new skills honed and inspired by independent films, Diana developed her own student film production where she directed a team of animators to bring her film "Star Mother" to life. Diana has worked with young artists age 5 to 13 in developing their artistic skills and exercising their creative muscles at Creative Brain Learning for 3 years.
